Executive Etiquette Tip – Cocktail Parties

Use cocktail parties as opportunities to get to know others – and for them to get to know you. So don’t clump with your best friends. Circulate! Best place to connect with others – near the food table or in the center of the room, not against the walls.  Never overindulge in alcohol or food, reveal company secrets, or become overly familiar with anyone.  If you’re not on a first name basis with the boss between 9:00 & 5:00, don’t assume you are after 5:00!
